Participation numbers released for climate survey

More than one-fourth of all campus community members participated in the myGVSU Survey, which asked questions related to learning, living and working at Grand Valley.

The survey ended February 18. Overall, 27 percent of all students, faculty and staff members participated in the online, anonymous survey.

Neal Rogness, co-chair of the Campus Climate Study committee, said student participation was at 24 percent, or 6,053 students. More than half of all staff members, 55 percent, completed the online survey; and 45 percent of faculty members participated.

Rogness said preliminary results will be released in the summer, with a full report to be presented in the fall.

Incentive gifts were presented to winners. These included an iPad, gift cards to area restaurants and an evening at the Broadway Grand Rapids production of "Grease" with President Thomas J. Haas and Marcia Haas.
