More than 50 blankets were collected on campus during a drive
organized by Sisters United, Grand Valley students and staff members
who are members of one of the four participating African American sororities.
The blankets were delivered December 14 to Mel Trotter
Ministries Women’s Shelter in Grand Rapids. Participating sororities
were Sigma Gamma Rho, Zeta Phi Beta, Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Kappa Alpha.
This is the second year the blanket drive has been held.
