IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

GVSU’s Family Health Center in downtown Grand Rapids will close September 30, 2023, for primary care services. The center will remain open until November 30, 2023, to ensure a smooth and orderly transition for patients. The FHC team is working with community care providers in the downtown area to ensure patients are able to transition to a different service provider.

Much has changed in the health care world in the 24 years since the Family Health Center opened. Downtown care options are now far broader and more accessible, while services like vaccinations are readily available at pharmacies throughout the region. While GVSU remains committed to providing students, faculty and staff with affordable access to primary care services, this decision will allow the Kirkhof College of Nursing to focus its mission and resources on educating and training the next generation of compassionate care providers for Michigan.

Students, faculty and staff will continue to have access to holistic, compassionate primary care services through GVSU’s Trinity Health Medical Group Campus Health Center. This fall, FHC will continue flu vaccinations across campus in September and October as well as health compliance services through October 31, 2023. A FAQ about this transition is available here.

FLU VACCINES NOW AVAILABLE!

The 2023 influenza vaccine is now available in office. The FHC will be hosting on-campus clinics in September and October. More information can be found on the vaccinations page.
