The recent issues surrounding COVID-19 require us to adhere to best practices. For the safety and well-being of the GVSU community, all Community Outreach Weeks events scheduled for Saturday, March 21 - Saturday, March 28 have been canceled.

You'll get to enjoy the company of fellow graduate students and alumni while giving back and engaging in the valuable act of philanthropy. Mel Trotter needs our help building summer hygiene care kits for the homeless population in Grand Rapids to extend their outreach efforts.
Hear from Mel Trotter's Donor Relations Officer and Volunteer Coordinator about their organization's ongoing needs and their dependence on donors and volunteers to advance their mission.
All of your party snack favorites will be available for snacking!
Materials for the care kits will be provided, but it is encouraged that students/alumni bring an item or two to donate! See below for ideas.
- Razors (3+ blades)
- Travel-size and/or full-size shampoo
- Travel-size and/or full-size conditioner
- Travel-size soap bars
- Body Wash
- Toothpaste
- Shaving Cream
- Socks (all sizes)
- Water bottles
- Granola bars
