Aubrey Crosby is an Adjunct Faculty member. She teaches courses in the writing program, and her research explores how language functions to produce and reproduce social structures, relations, and ideologies. Her most recent work draws from a sociolinguistics approach to critical discourse analysis and examines journalistic coverage of the Dakota Access Pipeline protest to show how journalists prime their audience to respond to physical altercation events (monograph, forthcoming).
