I am working on my Ph.D. dissertation in Zoology from Michigan State University co-supervised by Dr. Nathaniel Ostrom and Dr. Kevin Strychar who works at the Annis Water Resources Institute-Grand Valley State University.
My focus is understanding the correlation between the variance of critical environmental parameters like seawater temperature, nutrient concentration and light availability and the expression of their innate immune system.

I am currently a Ph.D. student in Zoology at Michigan State University. Here at MSU I am working with Dr. Peggy Ostrom, while being co-chaired by Dr. Kevin Strychar at the Annis Water Resource Institute at Grand Valley State University.
My current research interests involve the immune response and adaptability potential of symbiotic zooxanthellae (Symbiodinium sp.) from tropical scleractinian coral. I am interested in changes in protective protein expression, cell death, and gene expression.
