Social Media Community Guidelines

Grand Valley State University’s social media accounts, maintained and moderated by University Communications, exist to advance the mission and values of the university. We do this by providing value to, and strengthening our relationship with, all constituents through our posts and interactions.

GVSU welcomes interaction on these social media pages through civil discourse. In order to promote civil discourse and for the safety of our community, certain categories of speech may be removed.

Administrators of GVSU-affiliated accounts reserve the right to hide or delete content, including comments, replies or otherwise, that is found to be in violation of the University’s Social Media Community Standards listed below. Administrators also reserve the right to report, block or ban users for violations.
