High School Drama Competition

Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival High School Drama Competition

Students (grades 9-12) are invited to participate in the First Annual Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival High School Drama Competition. Participants (groups or individual) should prepare a Shakespearean monologue (2-4 minutes) or scene (5-7 minutes) for response and critique. Work must be memorized, blocked, and polished. Costumes and props are desirable, if applicable. Winners will receive cash prizes and a commemorative award of achievement.

When? Saturday, October 3, 10-3 pm

Where? Grand Valley State University Pew Campus, Loosemore Auditorium

Why? To celebrate Shakespeare and as part of the Shakespeare Connects! Conference (www.shakespeareconnects.com)
