Statistical Consulting Center

History

The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) was established in 2001 within the Department of Statistics.  Dr. Phyllis Curtiss was appointed to direct the SCC with 3 credit hours of release time per semester for the alternate assignment [July 2001].

The first home of the SCC was 107 Hoobler Living Center. Midway Fall 2005, the SCC was housed in MAK 2353 and from Fall 2008 at it's current location in MAK A1-178.

In winter 2005, due to increased workload, the department of statistics recommended a 6 credit hours of release time per semester for the director. Dr. Song Hong formally made the proposal to the dean of CLAS [April 2005].
