To provide and coordinate leadership programs and services to achieve excellence for all in the teaching, learning, and application of mathematics and science.

The GVSU Regional Math and Science Center serves:

  • Three West Michigan counties: Kent, Montcalm, and Ottawa
  • 36 public school districts, 485 buildings
  • Over 200,000 K - 12 students
  • Main office is located on the Allendale Campus of Grand Valley State University

Michigan Math and Science Centers Network

The GVSU Regional Math and Science Center is one of 33 regional centers in the Michigan Mathematics and Science Centers Network. Collectively, these centers provide leadership, curriculum support, professional learning, and student services to educators in local school districts. Some centers also serve as a resource clearinghouse for educational materials and information, and work to foster community involvement in the areas of math and science. Michigan Mathematics and Science Centers Network supports the delivery of high quality mathematics and science education for the students of Michigan.
