GVSU Mourns the loss of Frederick Bing

Mr. Frederick J. Bing, age 92, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Gertrude L. Bing; sister and brother, Mary Greinke and Arthur Bing; and nephew, Dennis Bing. Fred will be greatly missed by his daughter, Linda Bing; granddaughter, Jessica (Bing) Waalkes; sisters, Ruth Verburg, Lola Steffen; sister-in-law, Louella Bing; and his nieces and nephews including his special caregiver, Cheryl (Bing) Turi. Fred’s family expresses a heartfelt "thank you" for the exceptional care and support give to dad by Dr. Gordon VanOtteren. Funeral services were held on Friday at Grand Valley Baptist Church, O-3186 River Hill Dr. NW, with Pastor Dan Heistand officiating. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park. His family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at Cook Funeral Home. Contributions in memory of Fred may be made to Grand Valley Baptist Church.
Fred was a custodian from December 1973 until he retired in February 1989.
