Allyson is an alum of Grand Valley, having graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's in Theatre and Classics. During her undergraduate experience, she worked in the costume shop and assisted in over 13 productions with GVSU’s Music, Theatre, and Dance department. She is excited to return to Grand Valley and experience another side of the college through the Padnos College of Computing and Engineering.

Allyson likes to sew, crochet and spend time with her two cats. She loves walking around Grand Rapids and enjoying the city’s restaurants, festivals, and markets to the fullest.

Johanna is thrilled to return to GV and start her journey at PCEC! She earned her Bachelor’s in Communication from Hope College and her Master’s in Educational Leadership – Higher Education/Student Affairs from Eastern Michigan University. She relishes the previous experiences she’s had at different institutions, including the College Access Programs Office at Calvin University, the Center for Adult and Continuing Studies and Disability Resource Center at GV, the School of Dentistry at the University of Michigan, and the Office for International Students and Scholars at Eastern Michigan. She is a lifelong learner with a passion for helping students meet their goals.

In her spare time, Johanna enjoys running, reading, taking walks with her husband, chasing her kid around his favorite playground, and cuddling her kitty (and yes, she has pictures of both child and cat she will gladly show you.)
