This presentation will discuss the historical features and structures of the Black body. We will dissect truths, rumors, and myths about Blackness in regard to body image and social acceptance. We will begin with slavery and travel into modern day discussing what “Black body image” is and is not. Who has it, who wants it, and who creates it.
