The most helpful aspects of my undergraduate education in mathematics were: taught me the value and importance of logical thinking, and made me a better logical thinker.
The advice I’d offer to current undergraduate students in mathematics: Even if teaching mathematics is not your goal, mathematicians have high level critical thinking that is invaluable in many fields.
In a typical day in my work, I: forecast package sizes based on past sales, use Microsoft Access to filter relevant data, maintain website, and Head of Marketing for the East.
