Laker Alumni Marching Band

Homecoming this year is Saturday, October 29th, 2011. The Lakers of GVSU will take on the Huskies of Michigan Tech at 7:00pm. We look forward to making the 2011 Laker Alumni Marching Band the best and the biggest yet! It is our hope to make the Laker Alumni Marching Band a seperate unit this Homecoming in the parade over to the stadium.

2011 Homecoming Schedule

11:00am - Alumni Drumline Rehearsal (Cancelled) - Rehearse with full band at 2pm

1:00pm - 1:45pm - Registration / Light Refreshments at GVSU Band Room (PAC 1515)

2:00pm - 2:45pm - FULL Alumni Band Music Rehearsal - GVSU Band Room (PAC 1515)

2:45pm - Move to Parking Lot D8 for Marching Rehearsal

3:00pm - 4:00pm - Marching Rehearsal with Laker Marching Band

4:15pm - March to Kelly Family Sports Center (Turf Building)

4:30pm - 5:30pm - Alumni Association Picnic/Tailgater

6:00pm - March to Stadium

7:00pm - Kick Off! GO LAKERS!

2011 Homecoming Show

The 2011 Homecoming half time show by the Laker Marching Band is dedicated to the popular "Evolution of Dance" theme. We are planning to include a great number of the student body "dancing" to a medley of tunes that include: The Twist, The Chicken Dance, Hand Jive, Cotton Eyed Joe, and the Hokey Pokey. The students will remain on the field as the Laker Alumni Marching Band joins to conclude the show with "YMCA" (which we will change to G-V-S-U)!

2011 LAMB Uniform

1) GVSU clothing - (You do NOT have to purchase a GVSU Band T-Shirt)

2) Long pants for colder weather

3) Tennis Shoes or Other Approproiate Shoes for Marching

**No Flip Flops or Hats
