Location: Holland, MI
Mission: To provide learning opportunities, exhibition programs, and events for the entire community based on collections and research that explore the diverse history of African Americans.
Skill Sets Required:
* The student intern must have an interest in the museum field, a passion for learning and preserving history.
*Student Intern must have research skills, people skills, leadership skills, and must be able to take instruction and initiative.
*Student Intern must have experience working with Microsoft Excel & Word.
*Student Intern should have a passion for African American Culture and Experience.
Upcoming Projects:
*Student Intern will primarily work in researching for upcoming projects, films, exhibits, etc. for the CAAAH.
*Student Intern will work in some if not all of the following areas:
-Special Events & Programs
-Exhibits
-Collection Management
-Volunteer Recruitment
The CAAAH will provide/train in the following areas:
*Tours/Acting
*Knowledge of local history and understanding of cultural institutions
The Kutsche Office needs to provide/train in the following areas:
*Archival Logistic DVD Lectures/Training Manual
*The application process & interview process
