Experience:

Lisa has experience in directing large institutional food service organizations.  Additionally, she owned and operated a nutrition and food service management consulting business for twenty years.  Her focus was on improving the quality and deliver of food in the institutional setting.  Lisa's formal teaching experience began at Grand Rapids Community College in the Culinary Arts and Management programs where she taught nutrition, marketing, and financial management classes.

Academic and Community Activity:

Lisa is co-authoring a textbook on nutrition for culinary professionals.  She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, Food and Culinary Professionals, and Management in Food and Nutrition Systems practice group.

Lisa is dedicated to service projects in the short term mission fields in Africa and Haiti.  She is particularly concerned with the inequities and social injustices in the world related to food supply and nutrition.
