Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau Education Foundation Scholarship - Qualifications include a Michigan resident, full time degree-seeking student majoring in Hospitality and Tourism in the College of Community and Public Service with a cumulative grade point of 3.0 or greater and financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA.  Candidates will make application to the HTM Depa rtment on the forms available here.  Recipients and initiating donors will be recognized at the annual Scholarship Celebration Dinner.        Application Form Available here

National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation -  Deadline March 20.  In 2009, the NRAEF Scholarships Program will award $1.7 million in scholarships to students pursuing an education in restaurant and foodservice-related studies.  To see if you are eligible for an NRAEF Scholarship, visit www.nraef.org/scholarships or call 800 765-2122 ext. 738.

PCMA Professional Convention Management Association - scholarships available for student members.  Roy B. Women's Business Alliance Scholarship program - funded by Choice Hotels International Foundation. 
Requirements:  Must be a female, a legal resident or citizen of the US, attend an accredited institution in the US, submit the most recent grade report, submit an essay with the application discussing the applicant's goals and interest in the hospitality industry, provide a letter of recommendation, provide a copy of their college acceptance letter, and include SAT/ACT scores.  Deadline date for submission for Fall semester awards is February or July 31 for spring semester awards. For application go to www.choicehotels.com

Marriott Scholars Program - Scholarship is good for individual awards for full tuition up to $9,000. Application deadline is January 31, 2009. Applicants must: be of Hispanic/Latino heritage, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico, plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student during the 2009-2010 school year in an, accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. with a hospitality management or culinary program, plan to pursue a degree within the hospitality management, hotel management, culinary, or food and beverage field, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Application can be found at http://scholarships.hispanicfund.org.
