 Experience:

Robert has spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry, notably as an Executive Chef for a number of West Michigan restaurants and clubs, and as the Assistant GM of the Peninsular Club of Grand Rapids, MI.  He earned his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation from the Club Managers Association of America in 1997. Robert also holds the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE), and C.A.R.E. Instructor designations from the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Currently, Robert is working on his doctorate in Education Technology at Central Michigan University.

Robert is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Instructor Development Course Staff Instructor, as well as an Expedition Level One Tri-Mix diver. Robert is also an instructor in CPR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Provider for the American Red Cross, Divers Alert Network and Emergency First Responders. Robert also enjoys sailing, kayaking, camping, climbing and is a licensed private pilot with a complex airplane rating.
