Education:

B.S. Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University
M.Ed. Degree with an emphasis on Adult and Higher Education from Grand Valley State University.

Experience:

Chris Longstreet, CHA, is currently a senior adjunct, and a former Assistant Professor for the Hospitality and Tourism Management Program.  Prior to joining the department, Chris was Manager of Training Programs for Choice Hotels International - franchisor of over 5,000 hotels.  In this capacity, he coordinated the education programs for all the major corporate meetings (annual convention, regional meetings, and special corporate functions).  In addition, he oversaw the administration of the corporate certification testing process and the development of many training programs and services.  Prior to his experience with Choice Hotels, Chris was the Director of Certification Programs for the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association and was a member of the human resources team of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
