Education:

Ph.D., Oceanography, Marine Geology, and Geochemistry, University of Michigan, 2009
B.A., Geology (minor in Chemistry), Cum Laude with High Honors, Smith College, 2003

Research and Teaching Interests:

My research focuses on the evolution of ocean circulation and climate over the Cenozoic. I use stable isotopes and other methods to unlock the record of past ocean conditions preserved in deep-sea sediments. My general teaching interests are in the areas of oceanography, global climate change, and environmental geology.
