Community Leadership Scholarship

Community Leadership Scholarship

At the 2005 Enrichment Dinner, the Foundation's Leadership Committee presented its first two awards from the GVU Foundation Community Leadership Scholarship fund. The new endowed scholarship will support Grand Valley students who demonstrate a commitment to combining community service with their careers. The scholarship is open to all majors, with a preference to those in business or nonprofit administration.

Gifts from friends and colleagues provided the $30,000 needed to initiate the scholarship fund, which will provide scholarship grants to deserving seniors in perpetuity. As of April 2008, the fund had reached $73,500.  Additional gifts to the Community Leadership Scholarship will help extend the tradition of leadership and philanthropy in this community by supporting our young leaders.
