GVSU DACA/Undocumented Student Scholarships


Monarch Scholarship

The Monarch Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to students who are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients or are undocumented at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). The goal is to help our DACA and undocumented students access the financial support they need to complete their degree. 

Recipients of this scholarship shall have been accepted for or currently enrolled at GVSU. They must be an undergraduate enrolled for 12 credit hours or more in any course of student and shall be making satisfactory priority academic progress according to the norms established by the University.  

This scholarship is funded annually by gifts from friends and alumni of GVSU. Additional gifts to this scholarship may be accepted from any source to continue or increase award amounts. 


Lupe Ramos-Montigny "Si Se Puede Legacy Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist Hispanic/Latino students (including undocumented students and dependents of migrant farm workers) with the cost of earning a degree at GVSU. To qualify for this scholarship, students must:

  • Must be undergraduate entering freshman with a Hispanic or Latino racial/ethnic background (including undocumented students or dependents of migrant farm workers)
  • Must be enrolled for 12 credit hours or more in any course of study
  • Must be making satisfactory academic progress according to the norms established by Grand Valley State University

Renewal criteria: The scholarship is renewable at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
