Counseling Center

Emergency / Crisis Information

A function of the Counseling and Career Development Center (CCDC) is to provide crisis intervention for the students of Grand Valley State University. This service is provided in some capacity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After the Counseling Center closes, we do provide on-call service to the residential campus community through the professional housing staff and through the Office of Public Safety (616-331-3255).

When a crisis occurs that affects the campus community, our counselors will facilitate crisis-response meetings and consult with students, families, faculty, and staff. These services are free of charge and remain confidential.
