Emergency / Crisis Information
A function of the CCDC is to provide crisis intervention for the students of Grand Valley State University. This service is provided in some capacity 24 hours a day, seven days a week. After the Counseling Center closes, we do provide on-call service to the residential campus community through the professional housing staff and through the Office of Public Safety at (616) 331-3255.
When a crisis occurs that affects the campus community, our counselors will facilitate crisis-response meetings and consult with students, families, faculty, and staff. These services are free of charge and remain confidential.
