Description
Are you interested in a career in health care? Perhaps you are curious about the variety of health care jobs out there, or what major could work best for you. During these information sessions, you can ask questions and hear from faculty about the AHS major, requirements to obtaining a bachelor’s or combined AHS degree, or to explore your interest in healthcare.
GVSU’s Allied Health Science major has a route into the healthcare workforce for just about anyone, offering six different emphases! Some students are interested in patient care roles like physician assistant, physical therapy, or nursing. Our AHS Pre-PA, Pre-PT, and AHS General emphases help students achieve this goal. Other students are more interested in healthcare leadership or the psychosocial side of healthcare, and their path would be the AHS Social Science emphasis. Some students are interested in athletic training or public health, and this path is to obtain a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in 5 years instead of 6+ through our combined degree programs.
