Mary Barrett Beginner Preschool II Lead Teacher I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Language Arts with elementary teacher certification, and am now pursuing a Masters of Education in Literacy Studies and Reading. I am passionate about enriching the lives of children by promoting literacy development through exposure to literature and a print-rich environment, encouraging language experimentation, as well as incorporating Spanish into our curriculum. I love lesson planning and differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of all children. I really enjoy working in conjunction with families to provide the best possible care for every child. When not caring for or advocating for my students, I enjoy reading, running, cooking, and doing my part to help sustain the earth! barremar@gvsu.edu |
