USPS - Automotive Technician Zoom Webinar - Memphis, TN

USPS HIRING AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS FOR MEMPHIS, TNPLEASE JOIN OUR ZOOM WEBINAR JUNE 17TH AT 12 PM TO LEARN MORE AND ASK QUESTIONS. In this role you will perform both routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motorvehicles in the postal fleet. You will troubleshoot and diagnose more complex vehicle malfunctions.. Diagnose vehicles and perform operational checks on engines, major supporting systems, parts andcomponents. Perform various computerized and electronic diagnostic tests using specialized equipment. Prepare and update vehicle records, annotate labor time, and manage work orders. Conduct visual and auditory vehicle inspections and road calls. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must successfully complete Postal Service Test 943 andTest 944, to demonstrate their knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and make minor andmajor repairs to automotive systems.. This is a career position which offers excellent benefits. Newly hired employees are covered by theFederal Employees Retirement System (FERS). Upon hire, employees are eligible to contribute intothe Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) which is similar to 401(k) plans. We also offer the option to enroll into thePostal Service Health Program (PSHB) program as well as the Federal Employees Group LifeInsurance (FEGLI). Dental, Vision and Long-Term Care Insurance Programs as well as FlexibleSpending Accounts to cover eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care (day care)expenses are also available. We offer eleven paid federal holidays as well as accrued vacation andsick leave.
