Jennifer Getting Jameslyn
Director

Jen serves as the Director for the Office of Integrative Learning and Advising. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Kalamazoo College and her MA in Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies from The University of Iowa. Jen enjoys building connections with students, supporting them in reaching their goals, and challenging them to make the most of their time as a Laker through all the opportunities GVSU offers to experience new places and perspectives.

Outside of work, Jen is a busy mom, a gardener, a reader, a hiker, a camper and a lover of all cheeses and desserts. She’s been known to binge watch Marvel: Agents of Shield on Netflix when her kids are asleep. She’s a Grand Rapids native who loves all that the city and West Michigan have to offer.

Troy VanKoevering

Office Coordinator

Troy has a B.A. in English Language & Literature and an M.Ed. in Adult & Higher Education, both from GVSU, and is a Frederik Meijer Honors College graduate.  He began his career at GVSU in 2010.  Troy is truly a Laker for a Lifetime!  Higher Education completely transformed his life for the better, and that is why he is so passionate about guiding GVSU students during their educational journey.

Troy is a published author, a voracious reader, and an avid outdoorsman.  When he isn't reading or writing, you can probably find him fishing in his kayak, running or biking down one of Michigan's many trails, or exploring the Manistee National Forest on his motorcycle.
