Open House Tour Guide
As an Open House tour guide, you have the opportunity to connect with future Lakers by giving tours to students and their families during some of our larger admissions events.
Step One
Volunteer Form
Start by identifying what Open House dates you want to give tours through the volunteer sign up form.
Open House is an event for high school students and their families to visit Grand Valley State University, and learn more about our campus.
You can select as many dates as you would like to on the sign up form.
Step Two
Shadow a Tour
Pick at least one tour to shadow before the event.
Tours are scheduled for:
Monday - Friday
11am, 1pm, 3pm
Please arrive 20 minutes before the tours go out.
Meet at the Laker Experience Suite/Admissions Office on the 1st floor of the Student Services Center
Email [email protected] prior to shadowing to track volunteer hours.
Step Three
Prepare
Know your Laker Effect.
The goal of this event is to share your Laker Effect with students and families while showing them around campus.
Familiarize yourself with the campus tour map, and GVSU Quick Facts prior to your first tour.
