Metro Detroit Alumni braved the elements to make the holiday season a little brighter for Michigan families in need. The 2nd Annual “Ring the Bell for the Salvation Army” event took place on Saturday, December 3. Eleven GVSU alumni bundled up and took turns ringing bells for at least an hour outside the Macy's at the Troy Oakland Mall. Laker volunteers were treated with fresh donuts and given GVSU alumni apparel. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped collect nearly $300 in the red kettle this year!
