Carbon Cycle Opinion Article Published in EOS

Freshwater ecosystems constitute a small fraction of our planet, but play a disproportionately large and critical role in the global carbon cycle. The EOS article points out the importance of studying our freshwater systems, as well as what knowledge gaps still remain to gain a more thorough understanding of the global carbon cycle.
