Cynthia McCurren, PhD, RN, FNAP is Dean and Professor of the Kirkhof College of Nursing at Grand Valley State University. Previously, she was Interim Dean, Associate Dean, and faculty for the School of Nursing, University of Louisville in Kentucky, where she was also the Director of Nursing Research for the University of Louisville Hospital for five years, earning many research grants and awards. Dr. McCurren’s areas of expertise include gerontological nursing and advocacy of quality care for older adults. She has professional interests in nursing education, interprofessional education, and healthcare policy, leadership, delivery and practice.
Dr. McCurren is a fellow in the National Academies of Practice. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing; is the President of the Michigan Association of Colleges of Nursing; and is a member of multiple professional organizations and community initiatives.
The Bonnie Wesorick Center for Health Care Transformation is located in the Grand Valley State University, Cook Health Sciences Building.
