Tom Fitch


With more than 25 years of recruiting and search experience, Tom brings to every client relationship sound judgment, credibility, and a focus on partnership with institutional leaders and search committees. He understands the essential leadership qualities necessary in different environments as well as the strategies for completing successful searches in today’s increasingly complex and globally interconnected world.

Prior to joining Storbeck Search as a Partner, Tom was Vice President and Senior Consultant at Academic Search, Inc., for seven years. Recent placements have included senior-level administrators at institutions ranging broadly from small liberal arts colleges to large private universities, to public institutions small and large.

Julie Tea


Julie has served higher education for more than 25 years and the executive search sector since 2007. She assists colleges and universities in searches for presidents, cabinet-level roles, and academic deans. She also regularly advises boards of trustees on presidential transition. Before joining the firm, Julie served as associate managing principal and as a senior consultant for two competitor firms.

More than half of Julie’s client base consists of repeat clients. In addition, she has developed a strong track record of attracting and yielding candidates of diverse backgrounds. More than 50 percent of her placed candidates are women, and more than 70 percent of her clients’ finalist pools have included candidates from underrepresented groups.

Amanda Bennett


Amanda combines a commitment to serving mission-driven institutions in the education and nonprofit sectors with 20 years of experience identifying and recruiting executive leaders.

Before joining Storbeck Search, Amanda managed talent recruitment for several Fortune 500 retail companies. Partnering with CEOs, Amanda filled key executive-level positions and led internal recruiting teams responsible for filling 100+ corporate positions a year. In addition, she helped shape strategies for on-campus recruitment and internship opportunities for college students. Earlier in her career, Amanda gained experience as a researcher, compiling data on candidates and current trends.
