Health Check

West Michigan Health Care Economic Forecast

The Office of the Vice Provost for Health commissions the report, Health Check: Analyzing Trends in West Michigan.  The report focuses on health-related trends, costs, and employment projections in the West Michigan area and is released each January at the West Michigan Health Care Economic Forecast event held at Grand Valley's Eberhard Center in Grand Rapids, MI.  The study is conducted by economics faculty from Grand Valley State University's Seidman College of Business.

Each year the event is complemented by a panel of experts which might include health administrators/practitioners, government officials, or industry representatives.  Audiences have the opportunity to participate in a Q & A session following the panel presentations.

Next year's West Michigan Health Care Economic Forecast is tentatively scheduled for January 14, 2022!
