2018 West Michigan Health Care Ethics Conference In Review

Grand Valley State University's Office of the Vice Provost for Health hosted the inaugural 2018 West Michigan Health Care Ethics Conference on Monday, March 26, 2018 focused on Ethical Issues of Genomic Medicine drawing over 300 registrants.. The event was opened to the public and attended by health care professionals and administrators, professionals in supporting fields, students, faculty, students and community members. The event was held on Grand Valley's beautiful downtown campus at the L.V. Eberhard Center.

The 2018 Conference was jointly coordinated by Grand Valley and Spectrum Health.

The final segment of the conference included a panel discussion facilitated by Caleb Bupp, MD (Spectrum Health).  (Matthew Porteus, MD (Stanford University) joined the afternoon speakers for the panel discussion after which conference participants adjourned to an evening reception and poster presentations.  (There were no presentation slides for the panel discussion.)


(The event was followed in the evening by the biannual DeVos Medical Ethics Colloquy)
