Through her work, Randi Ford captures the divine spirit and life force that connects all things. The forms within her paintings express themselves visually through the rhythmical patterns and movement created with her strokes. It is as if you could almost hear the music that influenced the piece while in creation, reminding the viewers of the natures beauty, flow and design in life. The Rhythms and Colors of the Porcupine Mountains was inspired by her time spent in the upper peninsula of Michigan last summer during an artist-in-residence program. Within this series there will be seven different interpretations that capture the vibrational energy and life forms of the Porcupine Mountains through painting. In the past, the majority of her works have captured the colors and forms within the sandy landscape along Lake Michigan. Because of this, the lush green forests of the Porcupine Mountains has opened a new world to her work, bringing a fresh color palate, new forms and scenery to her body of work.

You can see more of Ford's work on her website, available here.
