When I first received the Padnos Scholarship, I had never imagined it would shape my entire future. I was given the most amazing chance to live in Japan and that experience has reverberated throughout my entire life and given me opportunities I never even dreamed of. Today, I work as a Bilingual Operations Specialist at an automotive proving ground in Michigan, a job that I absolutely love. Every day I get to interact with our Japanese clients and coworkers in the language that I cherish, bridging the gap between two amazing countries and cultures. The Padnos Scholarship is aimed at facilitating lifelong connections between countries, people, cultures and languages, and I can’t thank the Padnos family enough for giving me the chance to forge that connection and live in both worlds on a daily basis.
