Student Athletes: Study Abroad in Spain

Ourense, Spain — Ourense is located in the Galicia region of Northern Spain on the banks of the Río Miño. From the beautiful plazas, the twisting streets and medieval architecture of Old Town, to the natural hot springs; Ourense has plenty to explore. Beyond Ourense, students will experience all the region has to offer through field trips to Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, and Parque Náutico de Galicia and Ribadavia. Although it is open to all students, this program is designed primarily for NCAA student-athletes. Students will build intercultural communication skills through the coursework and by living with Spanish host families. The 3-credit course offered during this program will fulfill general education requirements, making it attractive to students from any major.
