SUMMER OPTIONS
Students on the 4-year track can study abroad during the summer of their freshman year.
Students on the 5-year track can study abroad during the summer of either their freshman or sophomore year.
Summer Option 1: Fulfilling General Education Requirements
Students will fulfill their Issues and Global Perspective General Education requirements while studying abroad during spring/summer (reflection required). Students may choose to participate in a GVSU faculty-led program or a External summer program.

Summer Option 2: John Cabot University
Electrical engineering students can attend John Cabot University (JCU) in Rome, Italy for a summer session. GVSU students attending JCU will receive a 10% tuition discount (per session) AND a $500.00 program fee discount.
By completing this session students will have fulfilled their ECO 210 (EC 201) OR ECO 211 (EC 202) requirements from Grand Valley. Also Global Perspective, and their Issues OR General Education Foundations Course requirements will be fulfilled.

SUMMER OPTION 3: CEA PARIS
Electrical Engineering students can attend CEA Paris Center for a 6-week summer program.
Students participating in this program will take:
- MATH 245 (4 credits)
MATH 245 will fulfill student's MTH 203 (Calculus III) requirement from Grand Valley.
SEMESTER OPTIONS
Electrical engineering students who wish to study abroad for a full semester have two options.
Semester Option 1: Switzerland Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW)
Students can spend the Fall semester of their Junior year at Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland.
Students choosing this option will take a full semester of engineering courses. Additionally, the Issues general education requirements (reflection required), AND the Global Perspective requirement will be fulfilled.
