Communication Studies
Imagine having to introduce yourself with your hands to a rickshaw driver in India, discussing the fundamentals of discourse at a café in Prague, or utilizing parts of multiple languages as you are surrounded by internationals from all over the world at any one of our many partnership universities. Study abroad is known for cultivating communication abilities on a personal and cross-cultural level.

Czech Republic
Topics for study in universities around the world range from media and communication theory to applied sublets of communication like advertising, broadcasting, journalism, theater and photography. Opportunities for Communication Studies majors include fascinating electives like “Internet, Self and Society” in Norway and “Discourse and Pragmatism” in Mexico. Internships are also available throughout the field including positions like working on a Bollywood film set in India, in an internet radio station in Jordan, or photographing alongside a New York Times photographer in Morocco.
The way people communicate in the world is not limited to one primary language but rather is a complex and continually changing relationship between people and the world itself. By exposing yourself to the world, you will find that it has a lot to say if you take the time to listen.
