Global Health Experiences Internships

Picture yourself learning about DNA structures at the institution where the double helix was discovered, embracing life in a foreign culture while diving into science or General Education coursework, or researching cutting-edge CMB at a foreign institution.

The best time for CMB students to go abroad tends to be early in their college careers, when gen eds and more basic science classes are still available.  Internships, especially during summers, could also be a great way to boost your science resume in preparation for a career or graduate school.

Many comprehensive universities in Europe and Australia offer science courses taught in English, and Arcadia University or EuroScholars could provide you the opportunity to perform laboratory science abroad.

Keep in Mind

• Once you have selected a program, be sure to meet with your adviser at least three months prior to departing for your program.
• Be sure to explore both GVSU and external options by browsing the Program Suggestions below. Students are not limited to GVSU study abroad programs.
• There are several opportunities to intern and or volunteer while abroad.
• Students are also able to fulfill General Education requirements abroad, including their General Education Issues requirement.
