Family Health Center (Downtown)

The GVSU Family Health Center, operated by the Kirkhof College of Nursing, provides accessible, quality healthcare through an academic nurse-managed approach. Located five minutes from the GVSU Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids campus, free parking is available.

Injury Care Clinic (Allendale)

The Injury Care Clinic administers care to injured GVSU students, staff, and community members through a partnership with GVSU Recreation & Wellness, Athletic Training, and Metro Health Sports Medicine. In order to best serve the Grand Valley community, the Injury Care Clinic will operate on a "first come, first serve" basis. Clinic services include:

Department of Public Health

Various office locations.

  • Provides sexual health services (birth control options, STI testing, breast and cervical cancer screenings and other sexual health concerns).
    • No parental consent is required and all services are confidential.
  • Cost: Services are offered on a sliding fee scale, based on income. Services will not be denied, due to inability to pay or a lack of health insurance.

City on a Hill

  • Provides free medical care for illnesses and minor injuries for uninsured or underinsured people at Tuesday evening and Thursday morning clinics. Qualified, volunteer medical staff administer care. Services include: Women’s Health for uninsured and underinsured women on the third Thursday of the month including pelvic exams, clinical breast exams and general wellness exam.

University of Michigan-Metro Health
