Data for this measure was not collected in GPY495 in Winter 2017. This is the only section of GPY495 offered during this assessment cycle. Data collected in GPY495 prior to 2015/16 are not comparable with the current tool due to the restructuring of the geography major and GPY495 in 2015/2016.

Objective 7 Students will exhibit the ability to create computer maps and apply appropriate techniques and methods of computer cartography and Geographic Information Systems.

Outcome P Application of geographic knowledge in public policy-making and discourse on social and environmental issues.

Students will utilize geographic knowledge and spatial analytic skills to make the world a better place through engagement in public policy-making/discourse on social and environmental issues.
Objective 8 Students will demonstrate an understanding of the impact of natural conditions on human activities, on the one hand, and the different ways of creating environments according to differing cultural values, religious beliefs, technical, economic and political systems, on the other.
