Rachel Pini

Rachel Pini is a senior studying behavioral neuroscience, and she is a member of the GVSU student organization Camp Kesem. The org spends all year fundraising so they can host a week-long summer camp. Each year, the summer camp provides free care and fun for children whose parents are affected by cancer. Rachel has recently served as co-director of Camp Kesem, unit leader for their first summer camp, and camp administrator.

When asked about her experience with Camp Kesem, Rachel said, “I truly believe that Kesem has influenced me more than any other club or class I have ever been a part of. Kesem has expanded my empathy, solidified life-long friendships, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and helped me confidently become a leader.”
