Gillian Vendittelli heard about the Hospitality and Tourism Management Club in Winter 2021 through a professor in the HTM program at Grand Valley. At the time, the org was young and full of seniors who were on the path to graduation. Gillian was faced with an organization that needed some recruitment.
Gillian is now the President of the HTM Club, a business owner, and a member of many other organizations at GVSU. The HTM Club has professional panels every semester, allowing the org’s members to gain insight into the industry. “The HTM club connects you to other students and it also connects you to professionals,” Gillian explains.
As a business owner, Gillian credits the HTM Club with helping her gain leadership experience and communication skills, which have led her to where she is today. The HTM Club also brought Gillian her closest friends and mentors that she wouldn’t have met if she didn’t get involved.
