Ethics Bowl Heads to Nationals After Placing in Regionals
May 06, 2020
GVSU’s Ethic Bowl team headed to Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia on
Feb. 22-23 after placing 3rd at Regionals. The team finished off
Regionals with the highest point total. In preparation for their trip
to Georgia, they met twice a week to discuss the topics they might
face at Nationals, from gun control to illegal immigration. During
their time at Nationals, the team held their own and won their match
against Schreiner University. Though they did not advance through
knock-out rounds, the team did an incredible job this season and are
proud of their accomplishments!
The Ethics Bowl team is composed of students interested in
working together to create resolutions to ethically-complex issues in
life. Students meet to discuss and share ideas regarding ways to solve
these real-world problems. You can find out more about Ethics Bowl on
the GVSU
Philosophy webpage.
