Graduate Assistant for Service Learning
Rachael is a Graduate Assistant for the Community Service Learning Center in the Office of Student Life. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in College Student Affairs Leadership at Grand Valley State University. Rachael earned a B.A. in Elementary Education with minors in Mathematics and Geography from Michigan State University in 2010. For the past four years she has worked at the Michigan Head Start Association (MHSA) as the Professional Development and Event Manager. There Rachael designed and coordinated high-quality training opportunities for the staff and parents of Head Start and Early Head Start programs across Michigan. During her time at MHSA, Rachael found an interest in leadership development and has coordinated and co-facilitated The Leadership Challenge© workshop; working with multiple organizations in Michigan and around the country.
Outside of work, Rachael is an avid movie-goer and reader. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and two rescue dogs, Bear and Zeke.
