Community Service Learning Center
If you’re looking for an opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference in the world, look no further than the CSLC. You could help with beach cleanups, blood drives, and other events that allow you to have an impact on people all throughout the greater Grand Rapids area. You can also help lead the charge for change on the national level with the CSLC's voter registration initiatives.
Leadership classes, programs, conferences, and opportunities to receive recognition are all available to hardworking students who want to develop and strengthen their leadership skills. Participating in these programs will help you grow as a person and find out what it truly means to be a Laker.

Getting involved in a club sport is your chance to be on a team here at Grand Valley and compete against other universities all over Michigan and the United States. There are over 50 club sports including baseball, basketball, bowling, lacrosse, water polo, fencing, volleyball, sailing, rugby, quidditch, and so many more. If you want to be a part of an award-winning, nationally ranked sports program, go out for club sports!
If you’ve ever had an interest in getting involved in radio, newspaper, or TV, Student Life can help you get a taste of what it’s like to work in the media. Grand Valley Television (GVTV) allows you to help create a variety of student-run TV shows that air on Grand Valley’s closed-circuit television system. Maybe you want to be a writer or editor for our student newspaper: the Lanthorn. Perhaps you’ve always had a love for radio and want to learn more about getting involved with GV’s own Whale Radio. These opportunities are unique and will help you develop countless skills that could potentially prepare you for careers after college.
