GVSU MSW HYBRID PROGRAM STUDENTS TAKE LEARNING DOWNTOWN
September 18, 2021
Dr. Jamie Langlois, Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work, brought her SW 629: Communities and Organizations class into the community to immerse themselves in the practices of local nonprofit organizations tackling food insecurity. This new course provides students an opportunity to learn how to make an impact on a systems level as a macro social worker. The images provided show students engaging in an interactive scavenger hunt at the Fulton Street Farmers’ Market (FSFM). This exercise helped students critically evaluate how FSFM’s mission and values are evident.
