The Parent Behind the Potential Farmer

Claire Efting (BSW) with her faculty mentor, Dr. Brandon Youker, at the Michigan Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters, Friday, March 9, hosted by Central Michigan University. She will again be presenting her poster, “The Parent Behind the Potential Farmer,” at GVSU’s Student Scholarship Day on April 11. Claire’s research explores how parents without livestock-raising experience supported their children in 4-H and how this experience impacts the family.
